The Pokemon International Company Pledges to Donate 25 Million Dollars to Aid Kids
The Pokemon Company International, which encompasses the entirety of the Pokemon Brand outside of Asian jurisdiction, has announced that it’s willing to pledge 25 million dollars to help kids in need. The Pokemon Company International also believes in a just and equitable world for every person and fan that is willing to contribute to a common cause. It aids to include and diversify with the addition of Employee Resource groups the likes of Latinx/Hispanic rooted Familia Pokemon, The Pokemon Black Dispora, The LGBTQIA+ based Rainbow Gym, Female empowering group called Women of Pokemon, and the Parenthood and children oriented TCPi Parents. The company is making moves to donate 25 million dollars to numerous organizations, particularly to support the social equity and the overall livelihood of kids. Organizations will be given monetary donations to provide for the kids, but the company also plans to donate Pokemon Trading cards along with Pokemon Center Products to the various organizations. With this announcement of pledging 25 million dollars to help kids, the President of the Pokemon Company International, Kenji Okubo, stated: The Pokemon International Company has recognized partner organizations for a five-year initiative that is set to operate in three geographical categories being global, regional and local. “Pokémon is a brand that immediately sparks joy and has captured the imaginations of kids around the world for 25 years. With its universal themes of adventure, friendship, and perseverance, it has also been welcomed into the lives of an incredibly diverse fanbase in countries around the world. We are dedicated to leveraging that unique ability and the support we’ve received from our broad community of Trainers to be a positive force in the lives of children and create a more equitable, inclusive world in which all can flourish.” The first category consists of organizations that operate without borders in regions across the globe. The regional category encompasses organizations that are operating within countries where the Pokemon brand has significant traction and presence across Europe, North America, Oceania and Latin America. As for the last category, the Pokemon International Company is stepping up to partner with local groups serving within small communities around the UK, London, Bellevue and Washington. As to which organizations will specifically be involved in these initiatives, the Pokemon Company International has made a comprehensive list of all the organizations involved in this philanthropic mission. The company has promised to support organizations for at least five years. More organizations that have a similar mission statement could be added in the future.
