New Additions to VPA
For starters, the VPA program started in October including the kingpin RTX 4090. NVIDIA has now added the RTX 4080 to this list. The main thing is that users now are not just limited to FE models, but they can also opt for AIB variants. Though, users should be aware that availability will vary based on the AIB partner. An important point to add here is that NVIDIA is making the VPA program much more accessible than before. Basically, prior to these new additions, only a few people had access to this program. All sign-ups from now on will allow the user to obtain a VPA invitation. Due to availability reasons, not all users are guaranteed to be sent an invite. Besides, this option is only available for NVIDIA Accounts made before the 15th of November to combat spam and bots. ~NVIDIA
The RTX 4080
The RTX 4080 16GB is packed with 16GB of GDDR6X memory over a 256-bit bus where the effective bandwidth stands at a whopping 720GB/s. Such insane bandwidths can be achieved thanks to the 22.5Gb/s memory which is 20% faster than last-gen. The 4080 16GB is equipped with the state-of-the-art AD103 GPU and 9,728 CUDA Cores for that extra compute performance. To top it off, it consumes just 320W of power.
