Daredevil Mod for Spider-Man Remastered PC
Earlier in August, Spider-Man Remastered was released for the PC. It’s an amazing game where you can swing around the skylines of New York with its awesome web-swinging mechanics, upgrade, and combat system. Players can enjoy a plethora of skins with their own abilities. We got to see a few characters from the franchise but didn’t get cameos or crossovers from other Marvel franchises as we did in Spider-Man Web of Shadows. And with its release, the modding community got to work. There have been numerous mods that turn Spider-Man into CJ from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, The Punisher, Stan Lee, Saul Goodman from Better Call Saul, and even Uncle Ben’s gravestone. Now, there’s a new mod in town and it’s Marvel’s iconic Daredevil. Daredevil became pretty popular as the show was released back in 2015. Marvel fans got to see the life of Matt Murdock, a blind up-and-coming lawyer by day and a superhero, Daredevil, by night. The show became an instant hit with its tight adherence to the comic book’s story material, the high-quality production paired with its’ no-nonsense dramatic flair. The show excelled as a superhero origin story with a gritty procedural and entertaining combat and impressive take on action adventure. Since he’s also a Marvel character that’s seen some crossovers with Spider-Man in the comics paired with the show’s overall success., his character mod in the game does make sense. The PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was developed in collaboration with Insomniac Games and Nixxies Software for the PS4. PC versions of games are usually high in demand by fans for the ability to play the game at higher resolutions at an uncapped FPS and to enjoy the games at custom aspect ratios. But fans also get to enjoy some mods along the way as well, making the games a unique experience. While some mods bring some eye candy like overhaul mods for GTA V or the good old ENB mods for GTA IV, some drastically change the whole experience. Take the example of the combat mod for Skyrim to be a bit more like Elden Ring or the Sirenhead mod for Fallout 4 that turns the whole game into a survival horror experience. While you get to play as Daredevil, The Man Without Fear, with this new mod, it doesn’t offer any substantial changes to the gameplay. Still, you can’t take away from the Mod that Daredevil looks impressive in the cityscapes of New York at night. The Daredevil character model looks pretty sleek. Although it doesn’t have some fancy facial details or overhauled 4K textures, it looks pretty good in general. All the simple details are in the right place and look akin to what we’ve seen in the comic books. The textures look fairly simple with slight attention to the level of quality, which is acceptable considering it’s a fan-made custom model. The suit features the iconic Daredevil logo on the suit’s torso and the headgear consists of Daredevil’s iconic horns paired with his angry-looking red eyepieces. But it’s pretty awkward, being a comic book fan when you see Daredevil swing like spider-man on rooftops instead of traversing the cityscape with some parkour moves. This mod was created by user TheRealiceMage on Nexusmods which allows players what it would be like to play as Daredevil in Marvel’s Spider-Man. It’s obviously just a cosmetic mod, as players will still swing across rooftops, and web enemies as if they’re still Spider-man. The modder had some interesting things to share. According to them, this is the very first custom character model put into the game. It appears the modder made this skin from scratch which is quite different compared to the reskins of other costumes very much like the Stan Lee mod. While this is a dream come true for every Daredevil fan out there, this also raises some questions, the question being, “Will we ever get to see a Daredevil game sometime in the future?” Daredevil did not have any appearances in the Spider-Man Remastered game but we did get to see the name Matt Murdock, the man behind the mask’s business card as a collectible. If you make your way to Hell’s Kitchen in Spider-Man Remastered, you can spot Matt Murdock’s office. With all this information, it seems likely that we might get to see a Daredevil cameo in the upcoming Spider-Man 2. We’re already getting Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Venom, and other comic book characters, so Matt Murdock would be a great fit as a cameo in the upcoming Spider-Man 2. But for now, fans can play the heck out of Spider-Man Remastered and enjoy the new cosmetic mods and suits. While we got to see some epic mods from the gaming community for Spider-Man for the PC, one individual decided to make a distasteful mod for the game on a sockpuppet account which removed all the Pride Flags and American Flags from the game and replaced them with a flag with stars and stripes. Nexus Mods took down the post and banned the user’s main and sockpuppet accounts. Spider-Man Remastered is now available for the Sony PS4, PS5, and Windows PC via Steam. So, what do you think about the Daredevil mod for Spider-Man Remastered? Do you think it was a decent mod or a bit too stale compared to the game’s art design and visual fidelity level? Will Daredevil make a cameo in Spider-Man 2? Let us know in the comments below. We upload daily on Appuals, so stay tuned for more. Till then, see you later and goodbye!
