In this iProVPN review, I will be discussing whether iProVPN makes a great provider for multiple purposes. The VPN is still in the young phase, but it’s always wise to test it out in these stages, which sets the benchmark for future revamps. With just a short time of a little over a year in the industry, iProVPN has managed to catch the attention of most users. However, for me, testing is key! I’ve tested countless VPNs in the industry, but the sad reality is that only a few of them worked reliably. Some were too slow, a few weren’t reliable enough to unblock the most popular streaming services, while others lacked basic online security. I always run multiple VPNs through a series of tests before settling for a verdict, with that said, iProVPN was next on my list.
Short on time? Here’s an overview of the iProVPN review
This is just an abridged version of the iProVPN review, just in case you don’t have time for the details and test results. With a 4.8 star rating on Trustpilot, this turns out to be a good start. This means most users rated the app as reliable or competent. The iProVPN prices break into 3 packages, which are the monthly plan, 1-year plan, and the 2-year deal. The 2-year plan for $2.1/mo. is the most budgeted and is pretty affordable compared to other providers. iProVPN is headquartered in the British Virgin Islands, which is marked as one of the safest or more privacy-focused regions. You won’t have to worry about this VPN stealing or logging your data mostly because of its strict no-logs policy. There are more details on it further on. If you’re mostly investing in a VPN for the streaming access to geo-restricted services then I’m not too sure that iProVPN would make a good fit mostly because it only offers 250+ servers in 20+ countries. However, before jumping the gun just yet, you should know that when I tested the servers, I got quick access to some of the more popular streaming platforms. With that said, if your main focus is a large network then iProVPN isn’t for you. If you’re fine with a reasonable server list, but one that unblocks platforms easily, then iProVPN is great! The speeds were just alright, not too fast not too slow, but works smoothly with HD and 4K content. At least you won’t experience any buffering or lagging issues. The security protection on the other hand was great!

iProVPN price – is it affordable?
Most users first like to check the price of a VPN. This step is sometimes more than necessary, since it gives you an idea of what features and performance to expect for the price it comes for. There are situations where cheap VPNs offer much more in comparison to more expensive options. However, we can only determine that once the entire VPN has been tested. So, here is an image of how much iProVPN costs:
$10 for the 1 month package$0.99 for a 7 day trial and $24.95 a year, billed after the first 7 days. $2.1/mo. for the 2-year package which is the most affordable deal.
I believe the 2-year plan fits right well within budget. However, let’s first go ahead with the other details in this iProVPN review to see if the VPN is truly worth the hassle.
The iProVPN security review
Security features of a VPN is extremely important and needs to work reliably otherwise there is no point in investing. Most VPNs boast the best encryption, and other advanced features, but when the time comes for it to work, there is a real setback. iProVPN claims to offer quite a bit of security and privacy protection features, like:
AES 256-bit encryptionOpenVPN, IKEv2, IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, and OpenConnectA Kill SwitchAd-BlockerDNS and IP leak protection Split-TunnelingSmart Connect Malware protection Unlimited bandwidth
However, when I put these to the test, turns out that iProVPN does offer great security protection. I even conducted a few tests to see whether the VPN leaked DNS, IP and WebRTC. Here are the results, promising as ever: IP leak test: DNS leak test: WebRTC leak test:
Does iProVPN log data?
If you take a look at the image above, that’s a small snippet from the iProVPN no-logs policy found in their privacy policy. Checking whether a VPN can log user data or not is crucial. This step is necessary in order to maintain your online privacy and protection of data. Most VPNs claim to be a logless provider but in turn steal and log user data for vindictive purposes. Luckily, iProVPN doesn’t log data and is located in a privacy-friendly region in the British Virgin Islands, which adds to the safety. In their logging policy, they stated that they only log as little information as your email ID, and that’s about it! There is zero history or timestamps collected.
Can I unblock US Netflix with iProVPN?
Yes iProVPN works great to unblock the US Netflix! Any streaming geeks here? You will be thrilled to know that iProVPN works great for unblocking geo-restricted streaming services! At first glance, anyone would assume that the iProVPN network coverage of just 250+ servers in 20+ countries is a little short, but it doesn’t reflect on its unblocking performance. When I tested the VPN, I got access to:
The iProVPN device compatibility
Sometime we might have more than one device that needs protecting, so it’s wise to choose a VPN that allows multi-device connections. With that said, iProVPN allows users to make up to 15 multi-device connections. Also, iProVPN is pretty easy to set up and supports apps for a number of popular devices, they are:
WindowsAndroidmacOSiOSLinuxFireTVstickChromebookRoutersSmart TVsNvidia ShieldRoku
To conclude
After going through this entire iProVPN review, I can easily say that I do recommend the VPN. It makes a great provider for users who are new to using VPNs, or even for professionals alike. The security and unblocking abilities are great. However, there were also a few cons, like its speeds and lack of larger server coverage, but there’s still time for the provider to grow.
