Now, a research analyst, Jeff Pu of Haitong International, has conflicted the earlier rumors in his latest research notes. According to Jeff, the iPhone 14 Pro will start with a 128GB base model, same as seen in the iPhone 13 Pro. What’s more, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro models will be more expensive that the previous models on launch. The iPhone 12 Pro started at the $999 mark on release, and that pricing continued with the iPhone 13 Pro. The iPhone 14 Pro will likely cost $100 more, and start at $1099, but this can only be confirmed on release. One of the reasons behind the price hike could be the new design, featuring smaller dual cut-outs, which might be more expensive to manufacture. Apple with the iPhone 14 Pro will do away with the big chin on the top of the phone and replace it with two seamless cut-outs on the display. Another reason could be that Apple is anticipating lower demand than usual, due to current market conditions, and it would make sense to make up for some of that revenue loss from higher unit pricing.
